Amidst these allegations, the state's deputy cm Eknath Shinde has hit back. He has said that now MVA should accept the mandate and stop raising questions on EVMs.

In Mumbai, maharashtra deputy chief minister Eknath Shinde said, "The opposition should welcome the clear majority given by the people of Maharashtra. Our Mahayuti government has done so much work in 2.5 years, implemented so many schemes, the result of which is this. The opposition should now stop crying about EVMs.

'You don't raise questions where you win'

He also said, "Recently, by-elections were held in wayanad in Jharkhand, where congress and india alliance won. Where the opposition wins, EVMs are good and where the opposition loses, they raise questions. This has been going on for the last several years.

Presented figures

Quoting the figures, deputy cm Eknath Shinde said, "In the Lok Sabha, Mahayuti got 43.55% votes and maha Vikas Aghadi got 43.71% votes, there is a difference of just a few points, but we got 17 seats and they got 31 seats. Then why did they not raise the issue of EVM scam? Yesterday they (MVA MLAs) did not take oath citing EVM scam, but today they took oath, so is the EVM scam over from today?"
