Rapper Jay-Z accused of raping a 13-year-old with Sean Diddy Combs in 2000
Sean "Diddy" Combs was named as the defendant in the complaint, which was initially filed in New York in october of this year, according to an NBC report. Jay Z's actual name, Shawn Carter, was now included in the civil complaint that was refiled on Sunday, december 8.
In a statement posted on Roc Nation' X page, Jay-Z described the accusations as "heinous." The complaint was brought by the victim, Jane Doe, via her attorney, Tony Buzbee. The incident's specifics were described in the complaint.
In addition, Doe claimed in her lawsuit that she was forced to sign what she thought was a non-disclosure agreement to attend the party.
In her statement, Doe also asserts that there were several celebrities doing cocaine and marijuana at the residence where she arrived.
She remembered being offered a drink and feeling 'woozy and light-headed'. Doe said that Jay Z and Sean Diddy Combs alternately raped her while she lay down in a room to rest and that a female acquaintance of theirs saw the act.
Jay-Z, in his statement, wrote, "These allegations are so heinous that I implore you to file a criminal complaint, not a civil one!! Whoever would commit such a crime against a minor should be locked away, would you not agree? (sic)."
According to the statement, his family was devastated by the unfounded accusations. "My family is the one thing that breaks my heart. My wife and I will need to have a conversation with our kids, one of whom is old enough that her friends will undoubtedly read the press and inquire about the veracity of these allegations and the brutality and avarice of individuals. I lament the loss of innocence once more. Young children shouldn't have to go through such things. The statement stated, "It is unjust to have to attempt to comprehend inexplicable levels of malice intended to destroy families and the human spirit."
