Every year, thousands of pilgrims flock to puri to see the renowned Jagannath Temple. It is well-known for the yearly Rath yatra chariot celebration and is one of India's Char Dham pilgrimage destinations.
 
It is renowned for some of the enigmatic beliefs that are connected to it as well. legend has it that after being granted the ability to locate Nila Madhava in his dreams by Lord Vishnu, king Indradyumn constructed this sacred temple. It is also said that Sapt Rishis suggested that the Pandavas visit the Char Dham to come closer to moksha when they first set out for Yamraj. Additionally, one of the sacred sites of Char Dham is the jagannath temple in Puri. The idol of Jagannath has never been accessible to the public since. The temple has become well-known for its ability to resist several scientific logic.

The structure of the temple has been built in a manner that it does not cast any shadow at any given time of the day.
Prasadam mystery
At jagannath temple, it's a rule that nothing is ever wasted. Records show that between 2,000 and 20,000 worshipers frequent the shrine. However, the amount of prasadam that is prepared in the temple doesn't change from year to year. That being said, it is never inadequate or squandered.
