On thursday, a number of films that will be released in the next months will be shown in theatres.

Indian 2, starring Kamal Haasan, is the upcoming major release in South India. Taking advantage of the Bakrid holiday on june 17 (Monday), it will debut on cinemas on june 13 (Thursday). According to reports, Prabhas's upcoming movie, kalki 2898 AD, will open in cinemas on june 27. But this movie doesn't benefit from a lengthy weekend or holiday.

The global premiere of Allu Arjun's pushpa 2 (also known as Pushpa: The Rule) is scheduled for august 15 (Thursday). It intends to capitalise on the weekend of Independence Day.

On august 29, Nani's Saripodhaa Sanivaram will be out, which is two weeks after pushpa 2. There isn't even a holiday or extended weekend advantage for this movie.

At the height of the dasara celebrations, on thursday, october 10, Jr. NTR's Devara will also be released worldwide.

Some films prefer to release on Thursdays, even in spite of holidays, while others take advantage of longer weekends. It seems that the indian film industry may soon adopt this approach as the standard.
