Telangana Hyderabad - Flooded Roads throw Traffic off track

SIBY JEYYA
The city's routine was completely disrupted by the intense rain that fell on thursday night. people in hyderabad were forced off the road for many hours due to several incidents of water logging and traffic jams.

In several places, the downpour flow also washed away two-wheelers and momentarily left drivers stranded. Moreover, because the cover slabs had not yet been built and the areas were flooded, the unfinished nala works in certain locations constituted a serious risk to both drivers and pedestrians.

In several low-lying places, the water level was knee-high, creating conditions akin to flooding. Some of the locations damaged were Bahadurpura, rtc X roads, Mahabub Chowk, Mehdipatnam, Banjara Hills, and the region beneath the recently built steel bridge. Power outages were another issue raised by several colonies.

In light of the thunderstorms' intensity, ghmc requested in a press release that people stay indoors and keep away from low-lying regions.

Later in the evening, workers in the IT corridor were also instructed to vacate their offices. Nonetheless, there was heavy traffic at some of the city's main intersections, such as wipro Junction and jubilee hills Road No. 45.

In addition to representatives from the ghmc engineering and sanitation departments, the Disaster Response Force sprung into action and removed downed trees in many sites.
