Everyone knows that the preparations to participate in any major sports event and that too Olympics is a daunting task and drain anyone physically and mentally. PV.Sindhu and Dipa Karmakar both put in lot of effort and brought laurels to the country and made India proud with their performances.

According to the latest exhausted PV.Sindhu,Dipa Karmakar are now getting ready to appear for their academic exams. Dipa Karmakar who got grand welcome at Agartala will be appearing for MA exam next week under Tripura university.
Her father Dulal Karmakar said "After returning to Agartala, Dipa would start preparing for the MA examination in political science. She is pursuing the course in distance education mode". When asked about how difficult to write exams in less than a week, she said she is trained to do so and it is easy for her. Dipa said after the Exams she will star preparing for 2020 Tokyo Olympics.

Dipa's father speaking about her preparation for olympics said “It hasn’t been easy for her. Initially, we didn’t have the equipment. She practised on discarded second-hand equipment. The first vault she practised on was made using the parts of an old scooter. The Sports Authority of India had rejected her and told her that she’d never be a gymnast because she was born with flat feet. With each medal that she won, her resolve grew stronger. She refused to take ‘no’ for an answer,”

Her mother Gauri recalled how Dipa was discouraged for her flat feet. She said “She had flat feet, we realised. SAI had spotted her and she topped all examinations. But the doctors said her feet would stop her from becoming a world-class gymnast. I asked her coach and he laughed at me. I trusted him and today, the results are there for the world to see,”

PV.Sindhu who at 21 years became the youngest medal winner for India will soon appear for her MBA second year exams. Sindhu despite attending classes only for 20 days in a academic year always scored around 70% which surprised her faculty. Vimala Reddy, Physical Education lecturer at St.Anns' degree and PG college for women in Mehdipatnam says "Sindhu’s weakness for 5 Star chocolates, Mysore Pak, noodles and fried rice is well known,”

She added " Fpr me it’s a lifetime achievement to have her as a student,” On her balancing studies and sports, she said “I remember a time when she was competing in an international tournament in Delhi, flying down to Hyderabad for each of her five exams, which fortunately had a day’s break between each of them. She’d fly back and return for the next exam,”
