GOAT Director Trolls LEO Director

17 years have passed since chennai 600028, the movie that cemented venkat Prabhu's reputation as a legendary sports comedy in tamil cinema, marked his directorial debut. Since then, he has produced a number of iconic films, including Mankatha and Maanadu. But Custody, his previous movie, was a wet squib. His next project, GOAT, starring Meenakshi Chaudhary and Thalapathy Vijay, is set to hit theatres on september 5.

In the meanwhile, he stirred up a small dispute when he posted a video to instagram with someone complaining about how similar all large-scale commercial movie trailers are. He said in the video that all trailers begin with an extravagant, throwback song before introducing the actor, who delivers memorable lines from his own past films.

Because it seemed to suit the description in the video, several internet users surmised that venkat prabhu was making fun of filmmaker lokesh kanagaraj, who had released the introductory trailer of his next film Coolie, starring Rajinikanth. It's possible that venkat prabhu saw the criticism aimed at him and promptly posted, "No no no!!!" It concerns all of us who work on commercial films! Furthermore, his assertions are somewhat accurate! Are the fans willing to accept it if we try to offer something that deviates from the standard commercial template?
