The murder of a 23-year-old student named Neha Hiremath in Hubli, karnataka has sparked international protests, including New York Times Square. Led by immigrants from India, the demonstrators demanded justice, love jihad and highlighted concerns about violence against Hindu women. Neha was stabbed by Fayaz Kondonayak. His father blamed the motive for forced conversion.

It can be said that the murder of Neha Hiremat, daughter of congress councilor Niranjan Hiremat from Hubli, karnataka, crossed international data-borders and reached New York Times Square. Neha Hiremath, a 23-year-old first-year MCA student, was brutally murdered on april 18 on the campus of PVP college in Hubli, Karnataka. A former student of the same college, Fayaz Kondonayak, attacked Neha and stabbed her repeatedly in the neck and abdomen, according to reports. Both the attacker and the victim were later taken to a local hospital. Neha was declared dead there. Neha's father alleged 'love jihad' as the motive behind the murder.It also led to global protests, including a notable rally in New Jersey. Echoing the sentiments in Times Square, demonstrators in New jersey aimed to raise awareness and demand action against forced conversions, rape and violence against Hindu women. A display in Times Square showed Neha's image with the message "Save the Hindu daughter" to reinforce the campaign for justice.
