Pentagon supports India's ASAT test, But...

India was more concerned about the threats it data-faces in the space and the Pentagon has defended India's ASAT missile test. For those who couldn't recall, On March 27th, India achieved a historic feat by shooting down a low-orbit satellite with a ground-to-space missile.



This test made India as the fourth country after the USA, Russia, and China to have ASAT capabilities. Now, US Strategic Command Commander General John E Hyten said, "The first question to Indian ASAT is why did they do that.


The answer should be they are concerned about threats to their Nation from Space."NASA Administrator Jim Bridenstine had claimed that about 60 pieces were tracked and out of which 24 are going above the apogee of the ISS.
