Registration of the lowest polling percentage in visakha Parliament will be a hot topic. However, the polling percentage has increased in this election compared to 2019. But more than 5 lakh voters have lost the opportunity to come in 5 years. Voters have not used the diamond weapon of voting to elect competent leaders.

Out of a total of 19,27,303 voters in Visakhapatnam, only 13,70,484 participated in the polling. That means 5,56,819 people are absent from polling. In this election, a record 81.86 percent polling was recorded in the state history of Andhra Pradesh. However, only 71.11 percent voted in visakha Lok Sabha constituency. In the 2019 elections, almost 80 percent polling was recorded in the state.. here it was limited to only 67.26 percent (lowest in the state). It is noteworthy that the polling percentage was only 67.53 in the 2014 elections. Although most of visakha voters staying in the neighboring states and districts participated in the polling due to their professional, business and educational needs, a large percentage of the local educationists stayed away from the polling.

Because voters had to wait for at least three to four hours to vote in this election. As the EVMs were beeping and the polling was slow, many people came to the centers two or three times and left again. The lack of proper facilities at the centers also tested the patience of the voters. Many people staying in apartments were also not interested in voting. Along with the polling day, they went for a vacation to the neighboring areas on the second saturday and sunday before. Moreover, the secretariat employees did not hand over voter slips to many people. There is an option to take it online but most of the people stay at home without proper knowledge about it. Due to the fact that the votes of the same family are in different centers, some are staying away from polling. Moreover, many employees and migrant workers from the joint districts of srikakulam and vizianagaram are staying in visakha East and Bhimili constituencies. Many of them have votes in both regions, so they all went to their hometowns to cast their votes.
