Sources have stated that Karnataka Silk Board chairperson TP Ramesh has landed in a controversy after video showing him trying to hold the hands of a lady MLC from his own party went viral. At a function organized on the Independence Day at Karnataka's Madikere, she was seen trying to grab the hand of MLC Veena Achaiah. Even as Veena pushes his hand away, a smiling Ramesh was seen again trying to hold hands. The leader's behavior has come under severe criticism.
Sources have stated that it was caught on cam, where the Congress leader tried to justify his action saying that she was like his sister He told the Media that "Veena and he are from the same area and she is like his sister and they were discussing health related issues. The video is being shared to defame him".
Meanwhile the Congress, which was left red data-faced, said it would first watch the footage and then action would be initiated against Ramesh if necessary. It is unclear if Veena had registered a complaint.
