Telangana - 14 Kms and 13 Stations - Hyderabad Airport metro plan from Nagole to Chandrayangutta

SIBY JEYYA
Hyderabad airport Metro Limited (HAML) MD NVS reddy supervised a 14-kilometer walk today (Saturday) from nagole to Chandrayangutta to confirm the new airport Metro route and station placements. The airport Metro's initial section connects shamshabad airport with Nagole.

13 stations fall in this section of the airport Metro. Starting from the already existing nagole station, the stretch goes through nagole X roads, Alkapuri X roads, Kamineni Hospital, LB nagar junction, nagarjuna sagar ring road, Mythri nagar, Karmanghat, Champapet junction, Owaisi Hospital, DRDO, Hafeez Babanagar and Chandrayangutta.

Near the current nagole station on the left (against LB Nagar), is where the future nagole airport Metro station will be situated. According to a HAML news release, these two stations will be joined by a spacious skywalk at the concourse level enabling easy passenger transfers.

The data-alignment will be moved approximately 10 metres to the farther left of Musi in order to prevent the relocation of large water mains and high-tension electrical wires. Longer spans would be developed to cross Musi in order to facilitate Musi rejuvenation efforts, it continued.

Additionally, according to HAML, a second station will be built after crossing the musi river to link to the road that originates at Kottapet Junction and serve the transportation needs of the surrounding colonies.

In order to facilitate communication with ORR, the proposed nagole RTO station would be situated closer to Alkapuri intersection, which is home to Lucky Restaurant.

There will be an underpass and two flyovers at LB nagar junction station, which would provide a number of difficulties after Kamineni Hospital station, which will be on the right side of the flyover.

A skywalk will need to link the new station, which would be on the right side of the intersection, to the current LB nagar station of Corridor-I (Miyapur-LB Nagar). According to the press release, the skywalk would be sufficiently broad to allow for walkalators for the convenience of travellers.

"The airport Metro line will rise abnormally high due to the multiple very high flyovers at the Bairamalguda/Sagar road junction." The Metro data-alignment has to be moved to the right side of the flyovers, and the station is situated in the adjacent open space, according to HAML, in order to lower the height of the airport Metro corridor and Bairamalguda/Sagar road Jn Metro station.

HAML went on to say that in order to serve the demands of the surrounding colonies, the proposed stations at Mythri nagar, Karmanghat, Champapet Road Jn, Owaisi Hospital, DRDO, Hafeez baba nagar, etc., would need to be situated closer to the junction locations.

According to the statement, the engineering difficulty for the building of Chandrayangutta interchange station is the flyover and the necessary terminal station amenities for the Old City Metro expansion up to Chandrayangutta.

"Height adjustments of the concourse and platform levels of the interchange station will have to be ensured in order to ensure proper integration of both corridors," HAML continued.
