జల్లికట్టు టెర్రరిజం కంటే దారుణమట..!
ఈ మాటలు అంటుంది ఎవరో కాదు..సోషల్ మీడియాలో ఎప్పుడూ సంచలనాలకు కేంద్రబిందువుగా నిలిచే దర్శకులు రాంగోపాల్ వర్మ. భారత దేశంలో ఇప్పుడు హాట్ టాపిక్ గా మారిన అంశం జల్లికట్టు. ఇప్పటికే ఈ క్రీడపై నిషేదం తొలగించాలని తమిళనాడు ప్రజలు, రాజకీయ నాయకులు, సినిమా ఇండస్ట్రీకి చెందిన ప్రముఖులు అందరూ పోరాడుతున్నారు. ఈ నేపథ్యంలో రాంగోపాల్ వర్మ మాత్రం తన ప్రత్యేక గొంతును వినిపించారు. జల్లికట్టు, టెర్రరిజం కంటే దారుణమని పేర్కొన్న ఆయన ఆందోళనకారులను రక్తం తాగే రాబందులుగా వర్ణించారు.
ఈ మేరకు సోషల్ మీడియాలో సంచలన వ్యాఖ్యలు చేశారు. మరోవైపు టాలీవుడ్ కి చెందిన మహేష్ బాబు, పవన్ కళ్యాన్ జల్లికట్టు అనేది ద్రవిడ సాంప్రదాయక క్రీడ అని దానిపై నిషేదం విధించడం వారి సంస్కృతిని అవమానించినట్లే అని జల్లికట్టుపై నిషేదం తొలగించాలని అంటున్నారు. కానీ రాంగోపాల్ వర్మ మాత్రం జల్లికట్టులో పాల్గొనే ఎద్దులకు కొమ్ములు, తోకలు, ఎముకలు విరిగిపోతాయి, ఒక్కోసారి అవి చనిపోతాయి కూడా.
జల్లికట్టు అనేది అనాగరికం. సంప్రదాయం అనే పేరుతో మీ ఎంటర్‌టైన్‌మెంట్‌ కోసం వాటిని హింసించడం టెర్రరిజం కంటే దారుణమైంది అని అంటున్నారు. జల్లికట్టు గురించి ఆందోళన చేస్తున్న ఎవ్వరికీ కనీసం సంస్కృతి అంటే అర్థం కూడా తెలీదు, వారు మనిషి రూపంలో ఉన్న రక్తాన్ని తాగే రాబందులు. జల్లికట్టును ఎవరైతే సపోర్ట్‌ చేస్తున్నారో వారిలో ప్రతి ఒక్కరిపైకి 1000 ఎద్దులను పంపాలి. అప్పుడు వారిని ఎవరు రక్షిస్తారో చూడాలి” అంటూ కామెంట్‌లను పెట్టాడు వర్మ.
