The Railway Kodur constituency in kadapa has emerged as a focal point of political interest, primarily because it is a reserved seat for Scheduled Castes (SC). Over the years, the political landscape has witnessed significant shifts as parties vie for dominance. In the latest elections, the spotlight was on the contest between telugu desam party (TDP) candidate Arava Srithar and Yuvajana Shramika Rythu congress party (YSRCP) candidate Korumutla Srinivas.

Korumutla Srinivasulu, the YSRCP leader, enjoys substantial popularity in the constituency, with a political journey that began with the congress party. Having served as an mla from 2009 to 2014, he transitioned to the YSRCP, where he continued his tenure. His local connections and legal background, with a master of Law degree, bolster his standing. Notably, his role as a government whip underscores his influential position within the party and the legislature.

Conversely, TDP's Arava sridhar is actively engaged in campaigning in Railway Kodur. His party's historical presence in the region and the development initiatives launched during the tdp regime serve as sources of strength. However, there were reports of his potential shift to the Jana Sena party (JSP) just before announcing his candidature, indicating a potential change in political strategy.

Several factors, including the personal charisma of candidates, party agendas, and the prevailing political climate, influence predictions regarding the outcome in this constituency. YSRCP's recent governance and welfare schemes may sway favour towards Korumutla Srinivas, who secured a significant lead over his tdp opponent in the 2019 elections. Meanwhile, the tdp data-faces challenges amid recent political upheavals and must leverage its developmental work to regain voter trust and address local concerns.
