chetan Anand said that his mother Lovely anand (former MP) was ignored by RJD and when controversy arose over his father's release, he (Anand) felt insulted. Anand's father was convicted and sentenced to life imprisonment in the lynching of an IAS officer three decades ago. He said, “When I was asked to stay (at Tejashwi's house) after being invited for lunch. I was not even allowed to meet my family. Obviously I was not being trusted.”

When mla anand was asked about the video footage in which he was enjoying a game of cricket and playing guitar at Tejashwi Yadav's residence, he said, "It is nothing." When you are forced to live in a place, you are forced to enjoy the facilities available." In his speech in the House, Yadav had described the young mla as his younger brother and claimed that in other places after trying our luck, we gave him the ticket.

'We were taunted by Thakur's well'

However, chetan Anand said in a complaining tone, “We were taunted about Thakur's well. Now everyone will know that there is a lot of water in the well.'' anand was referring to the recitation of RJD's national spokesperson and rajya sabha MP Manoj Jha's poem Thakur Ka Kuan on the floor of the House. anand had also met chief minister Nitish Kumar in late December, just a month before the JDU president quit the 'India' alliance and returned to the BJP-led NDA, sparking speculation about the family's future political moves.
