How does voting percentage increase after few days of voting?

It is now common to make allegations on the functioning of the election commission in India. Sometimes questions have been raised on the irregularities in the Electronic Voting Machine (EVM) and sometimes on the transparency of the Commission. This time, for the first time in the lok sabha elections, questions were raised over the delay in releasing the final figures of voting percentage.

Recently, congress President mallikarjun Kharge had written a letter to the leaders of the india Alliance and warned them. Also, Kharge had appealed to all the opposition parties to raise their voice unitedly, alleging irregularities in the voting percentage data in the first two phases.

Kharge said, the first phase of elections was held on april 19 and the second phase of electionswas held on april 26. Butthe Election Commission released the final data of voting percentage on april 30 and this is also not the final data. Whereas this had not happened in any general election before. The election commission did not even give any proper answer to this.

Kharge further wrote in the letter, 'The delayed release of final data of voting percentage raises many serious questions. I have never seen such a huge delay in my 52 years of electoral life. Today is the era of EVMs through which data is available instantly. In such a situation, the question arises, is this an attempt to falsify the final results?
