From unemployment to inflation, know the 5 issues due to which the public stayed away from voting for BJP

Lok Sabha elections Result 2024: The results have come out after the counting of votes for the lok sabha elections. The results have been surprising for the BJP. The bjp, which is raising the slogan 'Abki Baar 400 Paar', has remained far from the majority on its own. There have been 5 special reasons behind this.

Lok Sabha elections Result 2024: During the lok sabha election campaign, every party had claimed its victory. These claims were to be proved true only after the seal of the public's decision. The decision of the public has come out in front of everyone after the counting of votes on tuesday (June 4). The results have been shocking for the BJP. The bjp, which claimed to win more than 400 seats during the election campaign, could not even touch the majority figure of 272 seats on its own. Even the BJP-led nda alliance could not win more than 300 seats jointly. This is being considered a crushing defeat for the nda led by prime minister Narendra Modi. Let us make you those 5 issues, which have become heavy on PM Modi's government during the elections.

1- The issue of unemployment has become very heavy

Opposition parties have surrounded PM Modi's government on the issue of unemployment during the election campaign from the very first day. If the government figures are considered correct, then the unemployment rate in the country has been around 6.5 percent. However, in reality unemployment has become an issue of big agitation in many states. During this time, the opposition parties had repeatedly surrounded the Modi government by linking the cancellation of job exams on paper leak or other issues to unemployment. It is believed that there has been anger among the youth due to this, which has come out in the form of anti-government votes.

2- Inflation has also been a big issue during the elections

The opposition parties have been continuously raising the issue of rising inflation in the country. The general public has also expressed anger over rising inflation many times. Inflation has also increased due to the prices of diesel and petrol not coming down. If we look at the figures, in the government files, during the ten-year tenure of PM Modi from 2014 to 2024, inflation has decreased instead of increasing. In 2013, the inflation rate in the country was 10.02%, which had come down to just 5.69% in 2023. However, on the contrary, if we assess it according to the market price, then inflation has increased by more than 32% between PM Modi's second term alone i.e. from 2019 to 2024. The effect of the continuously increasing cost of food from the plate to the clothes to wear has been seen on the middle class, which is considered the largest voter. Political analysts believe that the middle class was angry with the Modi government due to the increase in inflation and its effect was visible while pressing the button in the EVM.

3- Continuous anger of farmers

BJP has suffered the most losses in the states of North india and Central India. bjp has lost seats on a large scale in these states called hindi belt. bjp, which won 62 seats in Uttar Pradesh in 2019, has been reduced to 33 seats this time, while bjp, which did a clean sweep in Rajasthan, has barely got 14 seats. Similarly, seats have also decreased in bihar and Haryana. BJP's existence in punjab has already not been very much. The reason for this loss to bjp is believed to be the resentment of farmers, who are considered to be the core voters of the hinterland. During PM Modi's second term, farmers have been continuously agitating, due to which delhi had to bear the brunt of the siege for about a year. It is believed that due to this resentment of farmers, BJP's seats have decreased in UP, Rajasthan, haryana to maharashtra and Bihar.

4- Concern among the youth about Agniveer Yojana

The central government had come up with the Agniveer scheme for recruitment in the indian army to reduce the burden of pension on itself. In this scheme, there was to be an opportunity to serve in the army for just 4 years. After this, the government would release its soldier by giving a lump sum amount. This scheme was presented with great fanfare by PM Modi's government as a game changer, but it has had an opposite effect on the youth who work hard for years in the villages to get recruited in the indian Army. This scheme was also opposed a lot, which the opposition parties took full advantage of and tried to turn this anger of the youth into a vote bank against the government. Looking at the election results, it is believed that they have also been successful in this.

5- The image of the government that snatches away reservation was created by the opposition

The opposition parties united against PM Modi's government and launched a campaign that it was a government that tried to change the Constitution and end reservation. The nda government tried to respond to this campaign, but it was not successful in removing this question mark planted by the opposition in the minds of the classes taking advantage of reservation, especially the extremely exploited class. It is believed that due to this, the extremely Dalit voters did not vote for the NDA.
