Several candidates, including BJP's Preneet Kaur, Aam Aadmi Party's (AAP's) kuldeep Singh Dhaliwal and Balbir Singh, filed their nominations on Monday. Preneet Kaur and AAP leader Balbir Singh filed nomination from patiala, while kuldeep Singh Dhaliwal filed nomination from Amritsar. Voting is to be held on all 13 seats of punjab on june 1.

The nomination process is going on for different seats. bjp candidate Arvind Khanna has filed his nomination from Sangrur parliamentary seat, while Shiromani Akali Dal candidate Virsa Singh Valtoha filed his nomination from Khadur Sahib seat in Tarn Taran district on Monday. BJP's punjab Chief sunil Jakhar was also present along with Arvind Khanna. In fact, now only one more day is left for nomination. Nominations can be filed till May 14, after which scrutiny of documents will be done.

Nominations can be withdrawn till May 17

The last date for withdrawal of nominations for the last phase of voting is May 17. While filing nomination, four-time mp Preneet Kaur along with her son Raninder Singh, daughter jai Inder Kaur and bjp leaders were also present. After filing nomination, Preneet also shared the picture on social media. Before filing the nomination, he paid obeisance in the court of Burj baba Ala Singh of Patiala. Preneet has joined bjp this year while she has been mp on congress ticket four times.

Preneet has been mp from patiala seat on congress ticket in 1999, 2004, 2009 and 2019. In february last year, her husband and former punjab CM amarinder singh had joined bjp, after which he was suspended by Congress. punjab bjp chief sunil Jakhar was with Arvind Khanna who filed his nomination from Sangrur parliamentary constituency. Voting is going on for 13 lok sabha seats. punjab will be on 1st June.
