Union minister and senior bjp leader nitin gadkari on wednesday said that delhi will be among the top five cities in the world if people vote for the bjp and nda to make narendra modi the prime minister once again. Gadkari was addressing a public meeting in chandni Chowk in support of bjp candidate praveen Khandelwal. Citing various projects initiated by the central government in delhi, nitin gadkari said that his ministry itself has provided funds worth crores of rupees for various infrastructure projects in delhi, including the construction of highways and flyovers to improve traffic in the national capital from other cities like jaipur, dehradun and Haridwar. He also referred to proposed projects like 'electric cable bus' between delhi and jaipur and flight service on yamuna river. Gadkari said that a plan has been prepared and 'amphibious' (can operate from both land and water) aircraft will come to delhi, which will fly from there to go to any other destination in the country.'Electric cable bus' will run from delhi to JaipurThe Union minister for Road Transport and Highways said, 'We have planned to start an 'electric cable bus' from delhi to Jaipur. Work is going on on this project of buses going to three states, which will cover the distance of Delhi-Jaipur in just two and a quarter hours at a speed of 120 km per hour.' He said that the 'electric cable buses' will be air-conditioned equipped with 'business class' facilities like airplanes and the ticket price of these buses will be 30 percent less than diesel buses. Gadkari said that due to the highways being built by the Centre, the travel time between delhi and dehradun will be reduced to two hours before december and the travel time between delhi and Haridwar will take only one and a half hours.
