Among those arrested were a hospital ward boy and several women.

According to cbi sources, around 10 children have been abducted and sold in this manner in the last month alone, and a total of 7 people have been arrested in this incident. The cbi probe has now spread across several states, with several major hospitals under intense scrutiny. cbi sources said that the newborn babies were being sold at a price of around Rs 4 to 5 lakh.
