As the polling for the lok sabha elections is approaching, two Chief Ministers namely former jharkhand Chief minister Hemant Soran and delhi Chief minister arvind kejriwal have been arrested. It has sparked controversy across the country. The opposition parties held a huge protest at the Ramlila Maidan in the capital delhi to condemn this.
All india congress president Mallikarjuna Kharge, former leaders sonia gandhi, rahul gandhi, All india Party leaders Sarath Pawar, uddhav thackeray, Akhilesh Yadav, Farooq Abdullah, Trichy Siva, Thirumavalavan and many others participated in the protest. During the protest, sonia gandhi was sitting next to the wives of delhi Chief minister arvind kejriwal and former jharkhand Chief minister Hemant Soran.
Speaking at the protest, rahul gandhi said, "Prime minister Modi is match-fixing the lok sabha elections with the help of a few millionaires. Two people have already been arrested. bjp cannot even win 180 seats without EVMs.” He scolded severely.
Rahul gandhi says bjp cannot suppress my voice, all bank accounts of congress have been frozen. Opposition leaders are arrested and jailed. He alleged that they are trying to run the country with the help of the CBI, the Enforcement Directorate, and the Income Tax Department.
Rahul gandhi said that the upcoming lok sabha elections are not an election for votes, but a struggle to save the Constitution and democracy. "If you don't vote fairly, the match picture wins." rahul gandhi said.
“Prime minister Narendra Modi does not want opposition parties to contest elections. You sent two chief ministers to jail before the elections and froze all our accounts.
