Former minister narendra Narayan Yadav is about 73 years old and has been representing Alamnagar seat of Madhepura district since the 1990s. narendra Narayan Yadav is serving his 7th consecutive term from Alamnagar seat of Madhepura district. He started active politics during Jaiprakash Narayan's movement. narendra Narayan Yadav is counted among the favorite leaders of the state chief minister Nitish Kumar.

Meanwhile narendra Narayan Yadav is one of the veteran leaders of JDU. He is a resident of Balatol located in Puraini block of Madhepura district of Bihar. narendra Narayan's political journey started in the year 1968. He came into limelight during the JP movement and from here he actively entered political life. After a long journey in politics, he was elected mla from Alamnagar seat for the first time in the year 1995. He is still the mla from Alamnagar seat and this is his 7th term.

At that time he was given the responsibility of Rural Affairs Ministry in the state government. narendra Narayan served as the minister of Revenue and Land Reforms as well as Law Department in the state government from 2010-2014.
