This big opposition leader advised Manoj Jarange to contest

Sekar Chandra
Manoj Jarange Patil's hunger strike continues regarding maratha reservation. Jarange says that it does not matter whether the maharashtra government gives 10 percent or 20 percent reservation to Marathas, but this reservation should be under the Other Backward Class (OBC) category. Meanwhile, Vanchit Bahujan Aghadi (VBA) chief Prakash Ambedkar has said that Jarange should contest the lok sabha elections. He said in Akola that Jarange Patil should contest the elections as an independent from Jalna lok sabha constituency and he will also win.

Prakash Ambedkar said- we will support

Prakash Ambedkar claimed that if Jarange contests the lok sabha elections from Jalna, he will have our support. If pressure has to be put on the state government, Jaranga will have to adopt a political stance. The maharashtra Assembly had approved maratha reservation during a one-day special session on tuesday (February 20). Under this, Marathas will get 10 percent reservation in education and government jobs. However, Jarange is adamant on his demand for reservation for this community under Other backward classes (OBC). The bill states that a large number of castes and groups have already been kept in the reserved category, whose total reservation percentage is 52, in such a situation it would be completely unjust to keep the maratha community in the Other Backward Class (OBC) category.

status of last election

Prakash Ambedkar is currently a part of the india Alliance. However, distribution of seats could not be done. It is not clear whether BJP's Raosaheb Danve had won the Jalna seat by a huge margin in the 2019 lok sabha elections. Whereas congress had given ticket to Autade Vilas Keshavrao and Vanchit Bahujan Aghadi had made Sharadchandra Wankhede its candidate.
