Chief Justice Chandrachud was angered by the sudden reference to the unlisted case and demanded that it be heard as an urgent case.

Chief Justice DY Chandrachud reprimanded a lawyer for overstepping the bounds in the supreme court chamber, saying that this is not a railway platform but the supreme Court.

Justice Chandrachud has reprimanded a lawyer in the supreme court for suddenly standing up and starting to argue his case. As the court proceedings were going on at noon, a lawyer suddenly got up and said that he had submitted a public interest litigation for judicial reforms and wanted an urgent hearing on it.

But his case was never listed for hearing that day. The sudden mention of the unlisted case angered the Chief Justice.

Change in Railway Lower Birth Regulations! Now only they can get it!

"This is not a railway platform. Ask seniors how to behave in court, what are the rules. You are a lawyer, aren't you? You know when and how to argue a case," CJ Chandrachud advised.

Responding to this, the lawyer said that he was not against the judiciary and only wanted progress in the investigation. Immediately, the Chief Justice asked where he was working as a lawyer. The lawyer replied that he had appeared before the high court and lower courts.

Hearing this, the Chief Justice asked, "Why don't you work with a senior lawyer who can train you in courtroom etiquette?"

Earlier this month too, during the hearing of a case, the chief justice reprimanded a lawyer for raising his voice in a high-pitched voice.

"Do you see where you are arguing? You can't raise your voice and threaten us here. In my 23 years of court experience, this has never happened. In my last year, it will not be allowed. Keep your voice down," he said.

Last year, after noticing a lawyer talking on his cell phone inside the courtroom, the chief justice asked if the court was a "marketplace for chatting on cell phones" and ordered court staff to confiscate his cell phone.
