Tunnel construction to solve Bangalore traffic problem..!?

DCM DK Shivakumar has planned to build a tunnel road to solve Bangalore's traffic problem. Bangalore in-charge DCM DK has held a meeting with the Tunnel Road Consultancy in this regard. DCM DK Shivakumar has planned to build a tunnel road to solve the traffic problem of Bangalore in order to give meaning to the name 'Brand Bangalore'. In this regard, Bangalore in-charge DCM DK has once again held a meeting with the Tunnel Road Consultancy. It is planned to construct tunnel connecting roads to the outskirts of Bangalore center and in the first phase, 50 kilometers of roads are planned to be constructed. It is planned to build a tunnel road with a cost of 22 thousand crores in private partnership. Through this, DK has planned to make a tunnel corridor instead of an elevated corridor.

A meeting was held in this regard last june as well. In the first meeting on 'Brand Bangalore' under the leadership of Urban Development minister DK, 42 experts and dignitaries from various fields discussed the comprehensive development relationship of the city. The government should not pay for the construction of the tunnel, private companies will build the tunnel road based on 50 to 60 years lease. It was suggested in the meeting that the government can manage it after the contract period expires. While constructing the flyover corridor, people are not only annoyed by the traffic jam but also the land should be acquired for this. But the tunnel road does not require as much land as the flyover, and the traffic irritation is less. Thinking of building on PPP (Public Private Partner - Private Partnership) or BOT (Built Operate Transfer - Construction - Operation) model. It has been planned to return the money of those who built the tunnel road by charging a toll.

Land acquisition and system cooperation are only government responsibility, funding is entirely private, Bangalore needs 100 km of tunnel road, and 50 km is proposed to be constructed in the first phase.

Where will the tunnel road come from?
