Atlee: Apart from being a director, atlee considers himself a journalist, and calls the scenes of violence in films a doctor's injection

Atlee Kumar is one of the most popular directors in the country. His film 'Jawaan', released last year, created a stir at the box office. The audience liked the story of the film very much. It was the highest-grossing film of 2023. Recently, atlee has reacted to the glorification of violence in films and called it a doctor's injection.

'Jawaan' and other films made under Atlee's direction may have been hits at the box office, but they have not remained untouched by criticism from the audience. Not only this, the director's films have also been tagged on social media as glorifying violence. Now recently, the director has spoken openly on this topic and compared himself to a journalist.

Attlee said, 'Why does a news channel show violent footage? To show the truth to the world and not for violence. For example, in Jawan, we have shown the suicide of farmers well on screen. We may have passed the papers, but as a filmmaker, I am also a media person. I am also a part of you. I have a voice.'

He further added, “When I see on screen how a farmer commits suicide, it sinks into your heart and it brings about some change. I believe that showing violence in films is like a doctor's injection, which sometimes proves to be right for films. It is for better treatment, you cannot cure all diseases with pills.

Atlee said, "I want to teach the generation that if someone does anything wrong to a dog then he is not a good person. Unfortunately, all this falls into the realm of violence, but that is the 'bitter truth'."
