Why Patriotic Films Are Not Working In Bollywood Now?

Previously, with films such as alia Bhatt's Raazi and Vicky Kaushal's uri performing well at the box office, bollywood quickly altered gears to produce a large number of patriotic films based on the true stories of army members. However, except for Adivi Sesh's Major, no other film based on true events has been a commercial success.
Vicky Kaushal's sam Bahadur, kangana Ranaut's Tejas, and now Hrithik Roshan's fighter are all based on true stories of men and women in the armed forces, yet all failed at the box office. At a period when 'The kashmir Files' was successful, 'Fighter', which is based on the Pulwama suicide-bomber strike that murdered 40 troops, failed to capture the audience's attention. These films based on real-life situations appear to be simply documentaries, but the lack of drama and attention to the true qualities of patriotism is blamed. Except for standout actor pairings, the flicks offer little freshness on screen.
When these films are analysed, another topic that comes up is if the audience's tastes have changed or if these directors are failing to meet expectations. Surprisingly, there are a dozen more patriotic films in the works, including varun Tej's Operation Valentine, whose destiny is now uncertain.
