It was an extremely hot saturday in andhra pradesh, with Nandyal being the first place in the state to register a blistering 45°C. Many people in the state were compelled to seek cover indoors due to the extreme heat.Other towns and cities were not far behind, according to the india Meteorological Department's (IMD) amaravati branch. kurnool recorded 44.5°C, Anantapur 43.7°C, kadapa 43.4°C, Jangamaheswarapuram 43.2°C, and tirupati 42.9°C. The state's remaining regions had highs between 39°C and 41°C.

A scientist from IMD-Amaravati named Dr. S. Karuna Sagar issued a warning: "There's a possibility of mercury levels exceeding 45°C in many rayalaseema areas and some coastal andhra pradesh (CAP) locations during the first week of May." Karunasagar continued, "Due to persistent dry winds, more locations in rayalaseema and CAP are expected to be gripped by heat waves starting today."

There were empty streets in several areas of rayalaseema and CAP due to the extreme heat and humidity, especially in Nandyal, kurnool, and a few other rayalaseema cities. The IMD predicts that rayalaseema will experience heat wave conditions through May 1. In the meanwhile, CAP may anticipate hot, muggy conditions over the same time frame, with a remote possibility of nighttime thunderstorms. The majority of the state is experiencing extremely high humidity levels and scorching temperatures, therefore the IMD urges locals to stay indoors between 11 a.m. and 3 p.m.
