Fine Example of How Telangana Government is Controlling The Media

Nimisha
Telangana Government is dealing the journalists with an iron fist. The government is filing cases even when there is a very little chance. A journalist's accreditation was canceled for one wrong news. The order was issued by Medchal Collector. The news was published in Eenadu newspaper that the HRDA is moving from Tarnaka to Ameerpet and the news is not true.

Naturally, an explanation will be given during such instances. Since there is no truth in the news, a complaint can be made to the management. But the district collector's decision to cancel the journalist, Bhanu Chander Reddy accreditation has come as a big shock. There is no doubt that the Reporter should verify before writing the news.

At the same time, sometimes errors occur. Cancellation of the accreditation for a small mistake is really harsh. Journalist unions have expressed serious objection over the decision of Medchal Collector. Their immediate appeal is to reinstate his accreditation. With such actions, Telangana Government seems to be trying to control the media.
