Illegal Bangladeshi migrants in fear of MCD's action, what is the fear?

The matter of illegal Bangladeshis and Rohingyas in delhi has gained more importance than before. After delhi Police, MCD has also entered into it. Now the officials of delhi Municipal Corporation will also run a campaign against Bangladeshi intruders living in the national capital. Action will be taken by detecting the encroachment of intruders in all 12 zones of MCD. Apart from this, the education department of MCD will also get the verification of the students studying in the municipal schools done.

In fact, MCD has given instructions to take action against illegal Bangladeshi migrants. This order was given in a meeting held through video conferencing on 12 december 2024 at 10.30 am under the chairmanship of Principal Secretary home GNCTD. In this meeting, Additional Commissioner (HQ) and DC (HQ) represented the MCD Commissioner, these orders have been issued against illegal Bangladeshi migrants.

What is in the MCD order?

In the latest order issued by the MCD, the education department officials have been told that the departmental officials should take necessary steps during admission in municipal schools to identify illegal Bangladeshi migrants. The MCD has issued orders to identify and verify the children of illegal Bangladeshi migrants in schools and to ensure that birth certificates are not issued to any illegal Bangladeshi migrant.

Officers should submit action report every Friday

The public health department should take necessary precautions while issuing birth certificates and try not to issue birth certificates to illegal Bangladeshi migrants. All zones should also take necessary steps to remove encroachments made by illegal Bangladeshi migrants. MCD officials should submit the action report regarding this action to the office of the Deputy Commissioner (HQ) by 3:30 pm every Friday.
