allahabad high court has issued summons to UP DGP and saharanpur SSP for not following the court order and has summoned them to the court. Both the police officers will have to appear in court personally on 27 january and file their affidavit. DGP and SSP will have to explain why they did not follow the orders of supreme court and allahabad High Court. This case is related to dhruv Sethi and his wife Alka Sethi, residents of dehradun in uttarakhand state. The Sethi couple had bought a land in saharanpur, UP, but a mafia there, in connivance with the police and revenue department officers, took over their land. The Sethi couple complained to the police and on the cm portal, but no action was taken.

This decision was challenged

It is alleged that the land grabbing mafia in connivance with the police filed an FIR against the Sethi couple under serious sections of the SC-ST Act and the IPC. The police also filed a chargesheet against the couple in this case. The Sethi couple challenged this chargesheet in the allahabad High Court. The high court not only cancelled the chargesheet but also made a sharp comment on the nexus of police officers with the land mafia and ordered the SSP of saharanpur to investigate and take appropriate action on the complaint made by the couple to the DGP of UP.

Despite the passage of six months, no action was taken. Not only this, the land mafia along with the Lekhpal and others demolished the house of the couple with a bulldozer. The accused Lekhpal challenged the decision of the allahabad high court in the supreme Court. The supreme court asked the DGP of UP to follow the order of the high court, but despite all this, the house of the couple was demolished. It is alleged that due to this incident, the child growing in the womb of Alka Sethi also died.
