School Vacation Updates: In view of the terrible havoc of heat wave and scorching heat in Uttar Pradesh, the summer holidays of government schools have been extended. Now government schools will remain closed till june 24, while there will be a holiday for children till june 28. This decision has been taken by the indian Meteorological Department (IMD) after issuing a red alert for heatwave in 26 districts of the state. Orange and yellow alerts have also been issued for the rest of the districts of the state. This means that the state is going to data-face extreme levels of heat for the next few days.

Teacher organizations had demanded to extend the holiday

Studies in schools in the state were to start from june 18. In view of the scorching heat, teacher organizations had demanded to extend the summer vacation. Many organizations had written letters to chief minister Yogi Adityanath and Basic education Secretary in this regard, in which it was told that in view of the scorching heat, opening the school from june 18 would not be right in any way. Due to this, the holiday should be extended till june 30. Only after this the decision to extend the school holiday has come to the fore. According to director General of school education Kanchan Verma, council schools will now remain closed till june 24 in the entire state including Lucknow, while schools for children will remain closed till june 28.

Heat is breaking records in UP

This time the heat in UP is making new records every day. Due to hot westerly winds and intense sunshine, there is a stormy hot heat wave in the entire state. On Thursday, kanpur had the highest maximum and minimum temperature in the state. It had a maximum temperature of 46.6 degree Celsius and a minimum temperature of 34.9 degree Celsius. agra also recorded the hottest day in the last 50 years with a minimum temperature of 33.5 degree Celsius. The maximum temperature here was also 46.5 degree Celsius. Prayagraj also recorded a maximum temperature of 46.4 degrees Celsius, while cities with temperatures above 45 degrees include Bulandshahr, Aligarh, Hamirpur, Orai, Fursatganj, Ayodhya, Sultanpur, Bahraich, varanasi and Barabanki.

Minimum yellow heatwave alert for all districts of the state

The Meteorological Department has issued an alert of severe heatwave in the state for the next few days due to continuous heatwave effect. According to IMD, red heatwave alert has been issued in 26 districts of the state including kanpur, Mathura, agra, Etawah, Banda, Chitrakoot, Prayagraj, Kaushambi, Mirzapur, Fatehpur, Chandauli, varanasi, while orange alert has been issued in 24 districts including Meerut, Lucknow, Ghaziabad, Hapur, gautam Buddha Nagar, Bulandshahr, Aligarh, Baghpat, Hathras, Etah, Mainpuri etc. Yellow heatwave alert has also been issued in the remaining districts of the state.
