BS Yediyurappa News: A Bengaluru court on june 13 issued a non-bailable arrest warrant against BS Yediyurappa in a POCSO case for not appearing before the CID.

Former karnataka chief minister and senior bjp leader BS Yediyurappa has got a big relief from the karnataka High Court. The high court has stayed his arrest in the POCSO case. However, the court has ordered Yediyurappa to cooperate in the investigation. The former cm will have to appear before the CID on june 17. The next hearing in this case will be after two weeks.

The CID investigation team had approached the fast track court to issue an arrest warrant against BS Yeddyurappa on wednesday for not appearing for questioning. After which the court had issued a non-bailable warrant against Yeddyurappa. Yeddyurappa had said that he is not in delhi at the moment. He will join the investigation after returning.

Yeddyurappa is also a member of the bjp parliamentary board. According to the police, a case has been registered against Yeddyurappa under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offenses (POCSO) Act and Section 354 A (sexual harassment) of the indian Penal Code on the basis of the complaint of the mother of the 17-year-old minor. The teenager's mother has accused Yeddyurappa of sexually harassing her daughter during a visit to his residence in Dollars Colony on february 2 this year.

The minor's brother had recently filed a petition in a court alleging that the police had registered a case on march 14, but there has been no progress in the investigation so far. The petitioner had requested that Yediyurappa should be arrested and questioned.
