After the severe defeat in the lok sabha elections in punjab, voices of protest have started rising in the Akali Dal. Manpreet Singh Ayali, mla from Dakha constituency of ludhiana, has questioned the decision of the party leaders by posting on his social media account Facebook. He wrote in his post that he has decided to stay away from party activities until the Jhundha Committee report is implemented.

Akali mla Manpreet Singh Ayali further wrote that Shiromani Akali Dal is the head organization of Panth and punjab which has a history of great pride, the decisions taken by the party leaders in the last few days have led to a huge decline in the Akali Dal. The party failed to identify the farmers first and the communal ideology currently running in Punjab. To gain the trust of the farmers and Panth and Punjabis, the party needs to take big decisions today, so that the party can be strengthened at the grassroots level.
