Record 662 train coaches repaired in Railway Workshop!!!

Record 662 wagons repaired in May

Under the leadership of Chief Factory Manager Sudhir Sarvaria, the officers and employees of the workshop made the highest record ever by repairing 662 wagons (goods train coaches) in the month of May of the financial year 2024-2025. Goods coach repair factory Kota was established in 1960.

The record of POH of 661 wagons has been in september 2021. By breaking this record, Kota Workshop has made the highest record of repairing 662 wagons in May 2024. The target set by the Railway Board for repairing wagons is 560 per month at present. This is being easily accomplished.

POH is done once in 4 to 6 years

In the goods coach repair factory Kota, more wagons are being given POH (Periodic Over Hauling) outturn than the target set by the Railway Board. The POH of wagons in the month of May of this financial year is the highest ever record. POH (Periodic Over Hauling) of wagons is done once in 4 to 6 years.

How is train coaches repaired?

Senior Divisional Commercial Manager Rohit Malviya said that all the parts of the trolley, bogie under the wagons are repaired, which is very important from the point of view of safety. The body and brake gear of the wagon are also repaired, so that safety can be ensured in operation. All parts of the air brake system and the centre buffers on both sides of the wagons are repaired, which increases safety. Along with this, repairs and maintenance of wheels and axles are done, which increases safety.
