Fire officials believe that the AC explosion could be caused by various factors. Such incidents are said to occur mostly due to electrical or mechanical faults.A fire broke out in a posh apartment in noida earlier this week. The fire was reportedly caused by a split AC in the house that exploded. Fortunately, there was no loss of life in the incident.


Chief fire Officer pradeep Kumar Choubey said, "The fire spread due to the explosion of an air conditioner. The fire fighting systems like sprinklers, fire extinguishers and hoses worked well and the fire was contained in a single room of the flat without spreading too much."

"The temperature outside is around 50 degrees Celsius, which increases the use of air conditioners and increases the power consumption. In this environment, people are requested not to use the AC continuously throughout the day to avoid accidents," Chaubey said.The Chief fire Officer said that it is important to service ACs regularly and ensure that they do not get overloaded with dirt. He also said that many fire accidents in urban areas during this summer are related to AC.
