Delhi cm arvind kejriwal is going to return to tihar jail today. The supreme court had granted him 21 days interim bail for election campaign.

Aam Aadmi party chief and delhi chief minister arvind kejriwal will have to surrender back to tihar jail today (2 June). Actually, the supreme court had granted him three weeks interim bail for election campaign, which ended on saturday with the completion of voting for the lok sabha elections. However, cm kejriwal had demanded the court to extend the interim bail on medical grounds for the treatment of illness. His petition was rejected by the court on this matter.

Arvind kejriwal ready to surrender

CM arvind kejriwal said, 'On the orders of the Honorable supreme court, I came out for 21 days for election campaign. Many thanks to the Honorable supreme Court.'

'Today I will go to Tihar and surrender. I will leave home at 3 pm, first I will go to Rajghat and pay tribute to mahatma Gandhi. From there I will go to Hanuman temple in Connaught Place to seek blessings of Hanuman ji and from there I will go to the party office and meet all the workers and party leaders. From there I will leave for Tihar.'

All of you take care of yourself. I will worry about all of you in jail. If you are happy then your kejriwal will also be happy in jail.

Kejriwal was arrested by ED on 21 march in delhi Excise Policy Case. After this, on 10 May, he got bail after 55 days and cm kejriwal came out of Tihar Jail. kejriwal, who was released on interim bail of 21 days for election campaign on 10 May, will have to go back to tihar jail today, 2 June. The supreme court said that kejriwal is the chief minister of delhi and the leader of a national party. He also has no criminal record. Therefore, he was given interim bail for election campaign.


CM kejriwal interacts with AAP leaders

Aam Aadmi party (AAP) sources said on saturday that the chief minister may visit mahatma Gandhi's memorial at Rajghat, the party office on DDU Marg and a temple before going to tihar jail at around 3 pm on june 2.

Along with this, arvind kejriwal held a meeting of the AAP's political affairs committee at his residence on saturday, a day before going to the 'India' alliance meeting at congress President mallikarjun Kharge's house. Prominent AAP leaders including cabinet minister Atishi, rajya sabha members Raghav Chadha and sanjay singh and mla Durgesh Pathak were present in this meeting.
