Kota News: SI's son arrested for smuggling wildlife…The team of Kota Territorial Forest Department and the team of Wildlife Department took action and arrested a young man with star tortoise and Gagaroni parrot being sold illegally. This action has been taken after receiving information from Wildlife Crime Control Board Delhi. In this case, a young man has been arrested for illegally possessing and selling star tortoise and Gagaroni parrot. A special species of Gagaroni parrot is found in Gagron of Kota division, which are large in data-size and make the exact same sound as anyone.12 star tortoises and 4 Gagaroni parrots recoveredApoorv krishna Srivastava, Deputy Forest Conservator of Forest Department Kota, said that four Gagaroni parrots and 12 star tortoises have been recovered from this youth. Shubham Gautam, son of Gopal Gautam, has been arrested after raiding Chopra Farm Station Dadwada 1011. Shubham used to sell these wildlife illegally to customers through social media. After the deal was done, when the money was received, he used to transport them through bus and deliver them to the buyer. Giving further information in this case, Apoorv krishna Srivastava said that in such a situation, information is also being collected about the bus operator. He told that information is also being collected about the people to whom the accused Shubham has sold the wildlife.'Parrot and tortoise are included in protected wildlife'An activist had lodged a complaint in the Wildlife Crime Control Board Delhi, on whose complaint this action has been taken. DCF Srivastava said that all these are protected wildlife under the first and second schedule of the amended Act 2023 of the Wildlife Protection Act 1972. DCF Srivastava said that they have been recovered and taken into custody. This action has been taken by the team of Wildlife and Forest Department Territorial along with Deputy Forest Conservator Wildlife Anurag Bhatnagar and Training IFS vivek Pandey.
