Earlier, the gujarat government had suspended seven officers in the case of fire in rajkot Game Zone. The government has held these officers responsible for gross negligence in allowing this game zone to operate without the necessary approval. According to orders passed by the concerned departments, earlier in the day, the accused include rajkot Municipal Corporation's (RMC) town planning department assistant engineer Jaydeep Chaudhary, RMC's assistant town planner gautam Joshi, rajkot road and building department deputy executive engineers M R suma and Paras Kothiya and police inspectors v R patel and N I Rathod.

The RMC later ordered the suspension of Rohit Vigora, 'station officer' of RMC's Kalavad Road fire station. The RMC's suspension order said that although the game zone was being operated for some time without a fire safety-related NOC, Vigora, as a station officer, displayed gross negligence and irresponsible behavior by not taking any action against the game zone, which falls under his jurisdiction. At the same time, the gujarat high court on sunday took suo motu cognizance of the fire tragedy and termed it prima facie a 'man-made disaster'. The court said that highly inflammable materials like petrol, fiber and fiberglass sheets were stored in the game zone.
