Officers and employees working in Gurugram exercised their franchise through postal ballot paper. The election Department had received 3328 forms for voting through postal ballot paper. 1529 voters exercised their right to vote. Employees and officers living in other districts had filled Form 12 and requested to vote through postal ballot paper. The employees of essential services had appealed to use the facility of voting through postal ballot paper by submitting Form-12D. Five lok sabha booths, two assembly wise each, were made in Sector-14 government Girls college campus for Form 12 voters. Similarly, a postal voting center was built in the secretariat premises. The election Department had received 3328 postal ballot papers. 1529 voters took part in the voting process through postal ballot paper.

Exercise of franchise through postal ballot paper

According to DC and district election Officer Nishant Kumar Yadav, 121 were at the booth of Faridabad-Sonipat lok sabha constituency, 174 at the booth of Hisar-Sirsa seat, 551 at the booth made for Rohtak-Ambala, 551 at the booth of Bhiwani-Karnal. 478 voters at the booths of the seats and 193 voters at the booths of Gurugram-Kurukshetra cast their votes through postal ballot paper.

Counting of votes will take place on june 4

Apart from this, 12 employees and officers voted at the booth set up in the mini Secretariat. The counting of votes cast by the soldiers of Army, BSF, CRPF, air Force etc. through e-postal ballot paper and postal ballot will be done on june 4. A separate counting center has been set up to count the votes. The number of EPBTS votes in the district is around seven thousand.
