Farmers on strike at Shambhu and Khanauri data-border…

The ongoing farmers' protest to put pressure on the Center for legal guarantee of MSP for crops and to accept their other demands completed 100 days on Wednesday. On this occasion, a large number of farmers gathered at Shambhu data-border and other data-borders. The farmers have been camping at the Shambhu and Khanauri data-borders since february 13, when their 'Delhi Chalo' march was stopped by security forces from going ahead. Kisan Mazdoor Sangharsh Samiti leader Sarwan Singh Pandher said that farmers gathered at Shambhu, Khanauri and Dabwali data-borders on this occasion. Pandher accused the BJP-led central government of stopping him from moving towards delhi to continue his protests and condemned the deployment of heavy police force at data-border points between punjab and Haryana.

Will question PM Modi

The KMM leader said that the farmers want to meet prime minister Narendra Modi during his visit to patiala on thursday and ask questions and if they are not allowed, they will stage a protest. PM Modi will reach patiala on May 23 to address an election rally. Voting for 13 lok sabha seats of punjab is to be held on june 1.

BJP candidates are facing opposition

Let us tell you that during the lok sabha election campaign, bjp candidates in punjab are facing opposition from farmers. As part of the protest, farmers ask questions to bjp leaders and show black flags to them if their demands are not accepted.

Farmers angry with the Center are protesting

Farmers who owe allegiance to various agricultural organizations are angry with the Center for not accepting their demands, including a law on minimum support price. They were also angry at not being allowed to move towards delhi, forcing them to camp at the Shambhu and Khanauri data-border points of punjab and Haryana. Samyukta Kisan Morcha (Non-Political) and Kisan Mazdoor Morcha are leading the 'Delhi Chalo' march of farmers to put pressure on the government on their demands. The main demand of the farmers is that the Center should give legal guarantee of Minimum Support Price (MSP) for crops.
