Beware while you Vote - Wait for the Beep!

Krishanthini
Voters in two telugu states are all set to exercise their right to vote on Monday. Compared to the past, it seems that there is a possibility that the polling percentage will increase in this election. With the help of polling slip and identity card, there is an opportunity to exercise the right to vote easily. If the people who vote in the polling booth are aware of certain things, they will not data-face any difficulties while voting.

When you go to the polling booth, you have to show the polling slip. Those who do not have a polling slip can exercise their right to vote by stating their voter serial number. If all the details of the voter are correct then the Polling Officer will make an ink mark on the left index finger. The details are then entered in Form 17a. After that, thumb impression or signature is done on the voter list.

After finger print or signature, mark on the copy of Electoral Roll and get permission to go to voting compartment to vote. EVMs have names of candidates, symbols and a blue button next to them. A vote should be considered registered only if the blue button is pressed. A short beep will sound for five seconds after the button is pressed. Only if this beep sound is heard then you should understand that you have voted and that vote has been registered.

After the beep sound is heard the green light on the vee pot machine will turn on. After that, the name of the candidate who has voted, the serial number allotted to him on the EVM and the slip of paper with his name printed on it will appear for seven seconds on the screen on the VV pot. In the context of assembly and parliament elections in AP, there will be two EVMs and two VV pots. It is everyone's responsibility to exercise their right to vote.
