NIA court gave this order to bjp mp Pragya Thakur...

A special court in mumbai on saturday (April 20) accepted the plea of bharatiya janata party mp Pragya Singh Thakur for exemption from personal presence on medical grounds in the Malegaon blast case. The court, however, clarified that if she fails to appear before the court on april 25, necessary orders will be passed. Let us tell you that on september 29, 2008, six people were killed and more than 100 were injured after an explosive fitted in a motorcycle exploded near a mosque in Malegaon. On april 8, Special NIA Judge AK Lahoti, relying on the report submitted by the NIA on the medical condition of pragya thakur, exempted her from personal appearance, but the bhopal Lok Sabha member was asked to appear before the court on april 25.

Asked for exemption citing a serious medical condition

When the court proceedings began on saturday, pragya thakur had filed an application for exemption from personal appearance through her lawyer. She also claimed that she was facing a serious medical condition. It has been said in the petition that she is expected to be present before the court on april 25. However, NIA opposed her plea saying that the medical certificate given by pragya thakur did not mention that she was not in a position to travel or travel from bhopal to Mumbai. After hearing the arguments of both parties, the court said that his medical certificate showed that he needed medical care for about a week.

The court said that considering the medical certificate and the arguments of the lawyer, I believe that she is entitled to permission as a last chance. The court directed him to appear before the court on or before april 25, failing which necessary orders will be passed.
