What is this Neha murder case?

In fact, on april 18, 2024, Faiyaz Khondunaik had stabbed Neha Hiremath, daughter of congress councilor Niranjan Hiremath, to death at the BVB college campus located in hubli district of Karnataka. After the attack, college students and teachers somehow took Neha to the hospital, but by the time she reached IMS Hospital, about 2 kilometers away from the incident site, Neha had died. Neha was a first year MCA student in this college and Faiyaz was Neha's former classmate. At present, the police have arrested Faiyaz in this case and during interrogation it was revealed that Faiyaz and Neha were in a relationship with each other. Faiyaz told the police that Neha had suddenly started staying away from him for the last few days, hence he carried out this incident.

Accused arrested one hour after FIR was registered

On this entire incident, Hubballi-Dharwad police Commissioner Renuka S. Sukemar said that within an hour of registering the FIR with us, we had arrested the accused. At present, all the legal process has been completed and the accused has been sent to judicial custody.
