According to the chennai Meteorological Department, the maximum temperature in tamil Nadu is likely to be 2°-3°C above normal in the next five days.

In this regard, the chennai Meteorological Center has issued a statement: There is an area of variable wind direction in the upper atmospheric layers of South India. South tamil Nadu and Western Ghats districts may witness light to moderate rain today. Other districts of tamil Nadu, Puduwai, and Karaikal may experience dry weather.

Dry weather is likely to prevail in tamil Nadu, Puduwai and Karaikal from tomorrow to 7th. From 08th to 10th, light to moderate rain is likely to occur at one or two places in the coastal districts and adjoining districts, Puduwai and Karaikal. Elsewhere dry weather is likely.

  From today to the 8th, the maximum temperature at a few places in tamil Nadu and Puduvai is likely to be 2°-3°C above normal in the next five days. The maximum temperature during the next five days is likely to be 39°-41° Celsius at places in the interior districts of North tamil Nadu, 37°-39° Celsius at many places in the plains of the interior districts, and 34°-37° Celsius in the coastal areas.

 Humidity:

 During the next five days, humidity is likely to be 30-50 percent in plains in the afternoon, 0-70 percent at other times, and 50-80 percent in coastal areas of tamil Nadu interior districts. When there is high temperature and high humidity, discomfort may occur in one or two places.
