Why was Mukhtar Ansari lodged in punjab jail?

Powerful gangster Mukhtar Ansari of Purvanchal, Uttar Pradesh died in the Medical college of Banda on thursday night. After his health deteriorated, Mukhtar Ansari was brought to the hospital, where he died during treatment. One Samat Mukhtar Ansari was also lodged in Ropar jail of Punjab. He did not want to go back from here. Because of that, the governments of two states also came data-face to data-face.

Actually, in the case of extortion from a builder in Mohali, punjab police had brought Mukhtar Ansari from Uttar Pradesh to punjab on transit remand. After this he was shifted to Ropar jail. Mukhtar remained in punjab jail for about 2 years. During this period, the cases pending against him in UP got stuck. Custody of Mukhtar Ansari was sought from UP Police. A new drama started from here. A panel of doctors was formed from punjab side for Mukhtar Ansari and it was said that his health was not well.

After this, seeing the Mohali case weakening, in 2014 a case of blind murder in Ropar was also added against Mukhtar Ansari. This was done to strengthen the criminal sheet of Mukhtar in Punjab. Not only this, a witness was also brought in the blind murder case. By then the UP police had understood the whole game and they took refuge in the supreme Court. In defense of the arguments of the UP government, the punjab government stood in defense in Mukhtar. Then the supreme court was asked to hand over Mukhtar Ansari to the UP Police. On 6 april 2021, Mukhtar Ansari was brought from Ropar to Banda jail.

CM Mann made serious allegations against Captain

In april last year, a file of payment of Rs 55 lakh spent on Mukhtar Ansari's lawyers had reached punjab Chief minister Bhagwant Mann. He returned it back. On behalf of cm Mann, it was said that there was no benefit in keeping Mukhtar Ansari in punjab, hence to keep him in punjab, a case was fought with the supreme court lawyer, the fee for one hearing was fixed at Rs 11 lakh.
