In bihar, a controversy has arisen over the organization of training programs for government teachers on holi and the annual examination of school students on Good Friday. Rashtriya Janata Dal leader Tejashwi Yadav has sought intervention from chief minister Nitish Kumar in this matter. 'No leave during training'

The circular has been sent to all Principals of Teacher education Colleges (CTE), district Institute of education and Training (DIET), Primary Teacher education College (PTEC), Block education and Training Institute (BIET), and other concerned officials. According to the letter, a total of 19,200 government school teachers will participate in FLN training at 78 training centers of the department from march 25 to 30. SCERT has made it clear that 'no leave will be granted' to all concerned during the training period.


Controversy over the annual examination

SCERT is the apex educational body in the state for school and teacher education and is a part of the education department. bihar government has already declared holi and Good friday as public holidays and all state government offices will remain closed on those days. Similarly, the department's decision to conduct the annual examination for class VII on Good friday (March 29) has also sparked controversy.
