Vibhakar Shastri, grandson of former prime minister Lal Bahadur Shastri, has given a big blow to the Congress. He resigned from the party on Wednesday. The latest update regarding him is that Vibhakar Shastri has joined BJP. Vibhakar Shastri has been an advisor to priyanka Gandhi. He has submitted his resignation from the primary membership of the party (Congress) to mallikarjun Kharge.

After joining BJP, Vibhakar Shastri said in his statement, "I feel that under the leadership of PM narendra Modi, I will be able to serve the country by further strengthening Lal Bahadur Shastri's vision of 'Jai Jawan, jai Kisan'. Vibhakar Shastri, grandson of former PM Lal Bahadur Shastri, was angry with the decision of the party leadership for some time. He had also expressed dissatisfaction over not getting a place in the party working committee in august 2023.

After not getting a place in the 39-member CWC panel, Vibhakar Shastri had said in his tweet, 'This time perhaps there was some lack in my penance'. Actually, Vibhakar Shastri had hoped that this time he could be included in the congress Working Committee, but this time too he was disappointed. Let us tell you that a total of 39 leaders including mallikarjun Kharge, sonia gandhi, manmohan Singh, rahul Gandhi, AK Antony, Adhir Ranjan Choudhary have been included in the CWC.
