Hemant Soren has challenged ED's action in the High Court?
Reportedly the most talked about thing in hemant Soren's arrest case is ED and its 4 officers. The officers have been investigating hemant Soren's role in the land scam for the last 8 months. Earlier in 2023, ED was investigating the army land scam of Ranchi. Meanwhile, some villagers of Bariatu area accused the investigating agency of grabbing 8.42 acres of land. The villagers said that this land was captured at the behest of hemant Soren. The investigating agency then arrested Badigaon circle sub-inspector bhanu Pratap Prasad. During the interrogation of Bhanu, the investigating agency directly found the involvement of hemant Soren and the Chief Minister's residence.
Meanwhile the ED then recommended the state police to register an FIR in the case. After the FIR was registered, the ED took up the case under the Prevention Act. In august 2023, ED sent the first summons to hemant Soren in the case. After this, Soren went to the court, but did not get relief from the court either. According to ED sources, evidence of hemant Soren visiting the disputed land was found in the location trace. In the whole matter, hemant Soren said that this was done deliberately as part of a conspiracy.
