Uttarakhand UCC: Live-in information will have to be given

UCC, this issue again came into limelight. The bjp government of uttarakhand has almost completed

preparations to implement UCC. According to sources, UCC can be implemented in uttarakhand in the month

of november itself. During the uttarakhand assembly elections, bjp had promised to implement UCC in the

state and had also formed a committee regarding this if the government is formed.

Regarding the implementation of UCC, uttarakhand cm Pushkar Singh Dhami had recently said, "We had

proposed to the people of uttarakhand regarding UCC in the elections that when the new government is formed,

we will form a committee and implement UCC. The committee will prepare its report. As soon as it is ready and

we get its draft, we will move forward. cm has indicated to implement UCC soon. In such a situation, we tell

These provisions may be in the UCC bill-

All types of divorce can end. Only judicial divorce will be valid.

Talaq-e-Ahsan and Talaq-e-Hassan may also be banned.

A new draft will come on live in relationship. There will be a provision of punishment for not declaring it.

Parents will be informed about live in relationship.

Polygamy, Halala and Iddat may be banned.

The marriage age of girls will increase.

Marriage registration will be necessary, without registration government facilities will not be available.

There will be facility for marriage registration at the rural level also.

Both husband and wife will have equal right to divorce.

Girls will get equal rights in inheritance as boys.

On the death of a employed son, the parents will also get a share. parents will also get a share in the

compensation on remarriage of the wife.

On the death of the wife, the responsibility of her parents will be on the husband.

Muslim women will also get the right to adopt.

The adoption process will be simplified.
